We shot Dayana and Gio's session at the Trevi Fountain early in the morning. Realistically, the fountain is never empty - there's no time of day where you have it entirely to yourself. But early is still far better than midday: fewer people, softer light, and enough room to work with. From there it's about knowing the right angles and being patient - waiting for the gaps between tour groups, timing shots around the people moving through the frame. That's how you end up with photos that feel intimate even though you're standing in one of the busiest spots in Rome.
As a wedding photographer working in Rome, the Trevi Fountain is one of my favorite spots to bring couples. It's iconic without being generic -everyone recognizes it, but not every couple gets photos there that feel intimate instead of crowded. That comes down to timing, angles, and patience, and that's the part I can actually help with.
